A floor plan answers the question people actually ask: “where do I sit – and who sits next to me?” That is why the map view is at the centre of Door James. Each location is created as a digital twin during the rollout: floors, areas, zones and individual assets in their real positions. Zones make structure visible without assigning fixed seats: a team gets a colour-coded neighbourhood and books freely inside it. Whitelists and blacklists control who sees and books which area."

Door James models the usual levers directly: how far ahead can people book, how long can a booking run, how many days per week does a group get, does an area need approval, is a desk released automatically without check-in? These rules can differ per location – important for organizations where one site runs a sharing ratio of 0.6 while another keeps assigned desks."
