A second booking system next to it creates exactly the problem it was meant to solve: two versions of the truth about one room. Door James therefore does not sit next to Outlook; it works on the same calendars. Through Microsoft Graph, Door James reads the free/busy status of room resources and writes its own bookings back. Anyone who keeps planning inside the Outlook appointment still blocks the room in Door James, and anyone booking on the floor plan sees the meeting in Outlook. Nobody has to change habits – the gain is visibility and usable occupancy data."

Door James makes that gap measurable: check-in at the room, automatic release when nobody appears and reports on no-show rates per room and weekday. Often it turns out that the “missing” large meeting room is in fact a blocked one."
