# Practical guides for hybrid work

> These guides summarize what regularly has to be clarified in hybrid work rollouts: how a workable desk sharing concept is built, which points belong in a works council agreement, how a hybrid work policy is phrased and what GDPR-compliant visitor management requires.

What actually comes up in rollout projects – as a guide with a checklist rather than a whitepaper behind a form.

## No forms

These guides sit entirely on the page – no registration, no email address, no download gate. The reason is simple: someone in the middle of a rollout with a concrete question is looking for an answer, not a lead form.

They are based on experience from rollouts in over 700 offices. Where a statement is legal in nature we say so explicitly – we supply the technical and organizational details, the legal assessment stays with you.

## Pages in this section

- [Desk sharing concept](https://doorjames.com/guides/desk-sharing-concept/): A workable desk sharing concept answers five questions: what is real attendance on the peak day? What ratio follows from it? What happens when desks run out? Where do personal belongings go? And which rules apply to teams and areas? This guide works through them in order.
- [Works council agreement](https://doorjames.com/guides/works-council-agreement/): A works council agreement on desk booking needs precise technical details: which personal data is processed, for what purpose, how long it is stored, when anonymization happens, which roles have access, which evaluations are possible and which features are explicitly voluntary. This guide lists those points.
- [Visitor management & GDPR](https://doorjames.com/guides/visitor-management-gdpr/): Digital visitor management processes personal data of people with no contractual relationship to the organization. Four points matter: data minimization at capture, a visible location-specific privacy notice at check-in, a separate and short retention period for visitor data, and a clear role concept for access to visitor lists.
