Pair it in seconds, start from ready-made layouts or design your own in the widget editor — with a live preview directly on the physical screen — and show room timelines, a \"Today in the Office\" attendance board, welcome screens, clocks and more. Screens update in real time, the moment something changes. (Managing screens is admin-only.) Live booking overview – Map, Dashboard, Agenda and calendar now update in real time. New bookings and cancellations — yours and your colleagues' — appear the moment they happen, no refresh needed. Jaimes, your AI support assistant – Meet Jaimes: a floating chat assistant that answers your questions right inside DoorJames, with a playful genie animation that tucks it into the toolbar. Works on the web and in the mobile apps once your organization enables it. Reworked office page with live occupancy – The office page got a fresh look: a hero card with office info and banner, floating weather, today's opening hours with open/closed status, and the colleagues in your office with their seat and first-aider tags. Plus: current office occupancy as a live percentage ring with its own detail page. Color-coded asset types – Desks, meeting rooms and every other asset type now get their own color on the map and in the asset list, so you can tell them apart at a glance. Redesigned map filters & search across floors – A new filter drawer with asset-type chips, feature filters, a capacity slider and a live result count — and search now also finds desks and rooms on other floors. Animated booking confirmation – After booking, a friendly success screen shows your booking summary with follow-up actions, like booking something else for the same time. Meeting bookings now also support optional attendees. DoorJames on your wrist (Android) – A brand-new Wear OS app: see your bookings, check in and out, respond to invitations, browse offices and show your badge QR code straight from the watch — with a next-booking tile and watch-face complication. Booking shortcuts (Android) – Long-press the app icon to check in, check out or see today's bookings. Check-in and check-out reminders now include a button that does it right from the notification. Spotlight search (iOS) – Find offices, favorite colleagues, upcoming bookings and favorite desks in iOS search and jump straight to the right page in the app. Better problem reports – Attach multiple photos to a report and pick the affected desk or room by simply scanning its QR code. New admin tools – A redesigned integrations hub with guided SAML single sign-on setup, user sync with field auto-discovery and a Microsoft Exchange (EWS) preview; DoorJames Screens management; a live white-label preview of DoorJames 2.0; pictures for areas; and organization-wide crash-report settings." }, { "heading": "Improvements", "level": 2, "text": "Visitor meetings everywhere – Visitor meetings now show up in your agenda and on the dashboard, with location, clearer statuses and one-tap check-in and check-out. Reworked time picker – A new time picker with a clock dial, better keyboard support and human-friendly duration labels; on Android it opens as a native clock dialog that only offers valid booking intervals. Faster and lighter – The initial download is about 30% smaller, assets are cached smarter, and far fewer background refetches keep the app snappy. The admin portal loads in less than half its previous size. Better battery life (Android) – Removed a background heartbeat that could drain your battery at the office, and location permissions are no longer re-requested on every app start. Live check-in countdown – The check-in countdown on your bookings now ticks live and uses the exact check-in window from the server. Your settings follow you – Seen release notes, AI recommendation preferences and more now sync with your account across devices. Browser tabs show proper page titles with your unread notification count, and the language selection is searchable. A more native feel – Haptic feedback for key interactions, native pull-to-refresh, app chrome tinted in your organization's color, instant page switches and a proper splash screen with self-help options if loading takes too long. Crash reporting with your consent – Opt-in, anonymous crash reports on all platforms help us fix issues faster — controlled in your privacy settings, or organization-wide by admins." }, { "heading": "Fixes", "level": 2, "text": "The dashboard no longer flashes empty content when refreshing or returning to the app. Cancelled bookings free up the desk or room on the map immediately instead of after several minutes. More reliable sign-in: fixed a freeze after SAML login, Microsoft Teams login issues, browser sign-in now returns reliably to the Android app, and iOS no longer signs you out after a restart. The on-screen keyboard no longer covers chat and form inputs on mobile. Fixed a map crash while panning and made bottom-sheet gestures smoother. Corrected the Android notification icon and launcher icon shapes. Data retention settings now display correctly and calendar slot calculation works again (admin)." } ], "alternates": { "en": "https://doorjames.com/release-notes/2026-07-08/", "de": "https://doorjames.com/de/release-notes/2026-07-08/", "fr": "https://doorjames.com/fr/release-notes/2026-07-08/", "nl": "https://doorjames.com/nl/release-notes/2026-07-08/", "es": "https://doorjames.com/es/release-notes/2026-07-08/", "it": "https://doorjames.com/it/release-notes/2026-07-08/", "pt": "https://doorjames.com/pt/release-notes/2026-07-08/", "fi": "https://doorjames.com/fi/release-notes/2026-07-08/", "fr-CA": "https://doorjames.com/fr-ca/release-notes/2026-07-08/" }, "formats": { "html": "https://doorjames.com/release-notes/2026-07-08/", "markdown": "https://doorjames.com/release-notes/2026-07-08/index.md", "json": "https://doorjames.com/release-notes/2026-07-08/index.json", "jsonld": "https://doorjames.com/release-notes/2026-07-08/index.jsonld" }, "contact": { "email": "doorjames.support@cgi.com", "bookDemo": "https://meet.doorjames.app/public-schedule/99469a6d66d20f7fdd5ee19182a8f8bd", "demo": "https://doorjames.app/demo", "helpCenter": "https://help-center.doorjames.com/hc/door-james/en", "app": "https://wa.doorjames.app" }, "actions": [ { "type": "bookDemo", "name": "Book a demo", "url": "https://meet.doorjames.app/public-schedule/99469a6d66d20f7fdd5ee19182a8f8bd", "minutes": 30, "platform": "Microsoft Teams", "description": "A scheduled call with the Door James team, 30 minutes over Microsoft Teams, slot chosen by the visitor." }, { "type": "liveDemo", "name": "Try the demo yourself", "url": "https://doorjames.app/demo", "description": "Interactive demo environment of the Door James app, no sign-up." }, { "type": "contact", "name": "Contact us", "url": "https://doorjames.com/contact/", "description": "Contact form and email address." }, { "type": "email", "name": "Email", "url": "mailto:doorjames.support@cgi.com" } ], "citation": { "title": "Your office, live - On every screen", "publisher": "Door James by CGI", "url": "https://doorjames.com/release-notes/2026-07-08/", "dateModified": "2026-07-31" }, "license": "Content © CGI Deutschland B.V. & Co.
