Every Door James module in one subscription
One subscription, all modules. Each location switches on exactly what it needs, from desk booking to evacuation management.
In short
Door James combines desk booking, meeting room booking, visitor management, parking, event management, service bookings, evacuation support and occupancy analytics in a single platform. Every module is part of the subscription and is activated per organization or location in the Admin Panel; there are no module licences and no per-feature pricing.
One booking model for every resource
Door James makes no hard distinction between a desk, a meeting room and a parking space. Everything bookable is an asset on the same foundation: availability windows, lead times, maximum duration, recurring bookings, approvals, visibility, group restrictions, equipment attributes, check-in requirements and automatic release after a no-show.
That is why the model extends to resources classic desk-booking tools do not cover: focus rooms, lockers, lab equipment, pool cars, e-bikes or gym slots. Administrators keep one maintenance routine, employees keep one interface.
How the modules work together
The real value sits in the transitions between modules. A visitor invitation reserves the meeting room and the parking space. Check-in data feeds the evacuation list. Occupancy data from bookings and check-ins drives demand-based cleaning. A reported problem at a desk becomes a ticket for facility management and blocks the asset until it is fixed.
Configuration instead of development
Door James is a standardized product: requirements are met through configuration, not customer-specific forks. That covers roles and permissions, booking rules, privacy and retention periods, floor plans, asset types, notifications and feature visibility. Every organization manages these settings itself in the Admin Panel after the rollout.
Frequently asked questions
Do we have to licence modules individually?
No. Door James is sold as one subscription per authorized user, not module by module. Modules you do not need simply stay deactivated. A few functions – the AI assistant among them – are switched on by CGI on request rather than in your own Admin Panel.
Can different locations use different modules?
Yes. Module activation happens organization-wide and additionally per location, so visitor management can run only at sites that have a reception desk.
What counts as an asset?
A desk is only one asset type. The same booking logic carries rooms, parking spaces, lockers, pool cars, e-bikes or lab equipment – anything that can be described with availability, rules and a position on a floor plan.
Not sure which modules you need?
Every module is in the same subscription, so the question is not what to buy but what to switch on first. Thirty minutes is usually enough to answer it.
