Service orders and problem reports from the app

Whatever is missing or broken at a desk or in a room gets reported where it is noticed – in the same app.

Updated:

In short

With Service Bookings employees order location-based services such as catering, technical support or cleaning directly with a booking; admins configure the offering, contacts, availability and lead times. Through Report a Problem users report defective assets or app issues with a photo, which are processed as tickets in the Admin Panel.

Features

Services with the booking

The meeting room is booked and the catering with it – no second email to reception.

Configurable offering

Each location defines its own services, availability, lead times and responsible contacts.

Report a problem

Wobbly desk, missing QR sticker, broken projector: a report including a photo, directly at the asset.

Processing in the Admin Panel

Reports arrive as a list for facility management, where they are prioritized and closed.

Block the asset

Defective resources can be blocked so they are not booked again.

Support requests

Users reach support from inside the app; optionally the AI assistant Jaimes helps with clarification.

Collect the report where the problem appears

A broken monitor rarely gets reported if that requires an email to a shared mailbox. Shorten the path to two taps in the app – the asset is already selected, the photo takes ten seconds – and reporting rates rise noticeably. For facility management this produces, often for the first time, a reliable picture of which equipment actually causes trouble.

Services as the bridge between planning and operations

The second part of this module connects planning with execution: if the system already knows that room 3.12 is booked from 9 to 11 for twelve people, that can turn directly into a catering order with lead time and a named contact. For organizations with their own reception or service staff this replaces a series of informal arrangements.

Frequently asked questions

Does Door James replace our ticketing system?

For facility reports arising in daily work, Door James covers the path from report to resolution. A connection to a central ITSM such as ServiceNow is planned and currently not available – if that link is a requirement for you, it belongs in the project plan rather than in an assumption.

Can services be charged?

Ordering and assignment happen in Door James. A configurable Stripe integration for payment scenarios is planned and not available yet; where a payment step is genuinely required, we look at it per project.

Who sees a problem report?

The roles responsible for that location in the Admin Panel. Visibility for employees is a topic of ongoing product work.
